Firefly und so: Browncoats – Redemption

BROWNCOATS: REDEMPTION takes place three months after the events on Miranda. Captain Laura Matthews and the crew of Redemption are unintentionally thrown into a situation that some view as the potential catalyst for the second unified rise of the Independents against the Alliance. The Alliance is looking for a scapegoat for Miranda while those unhappy with the Alliance are looking for a rallying cry to take action. Through all this, a secret about Laura is exposed that shakes the very core of the crew, threatening to break it up, challenge the trust that she’s earned with the Browncoats, and undo all the efforts she has put into place to keep a sense of peace in her life since the first Unification War.

Das besondere daran ist nicht nur, dass es ein ziemlich hochwertiges Fanprojekt zu sein scheint, sondern auch, dass es Joss Whedons Okay und sogar eine Freigabe von Fox hat, das ganze als inoffizielles Sequel zu betrachten. Behält man das im Hinterkopf und die Tatsache, dass Nathan Fillion mal gescherzt hat (habt ihr das mitbekommen?), dass er gerne Firefly kaufen würde, um das selbst zu produzieren und gratis im Internet zu verteilen, und eben die Tatsache, dass eigentlich bisher noch jedem Firefly gefallen hat, dann brauchen wir nur noch ein klitzekleines bisschen Glück und bämm – wir haben eine zweite Fireflyserie. Wisst ihr wie großartig das wäre?

Hoffen wir also, dass das alles was wird und die Fans das entsprechend aufnehmen. Mehr Infos dazu gibt es zum Beispiel hier. Auch über die Sache mit nathan fillion und dass er das nun doch nicht mehr kaufen möchte. Ich hätte an seiner Stelle aber auch Schiss, wie sich das alles entwickelt hat.
