Die Schlussszene aus “2001: A Space Odyssey” wird zu “2020: An Isolation Odyssey”

Also sprach Zarathustra: Selbstisolation nervt.

Manche werden darin wahnsinnig, andere sprudeln nur so vor Kreativität und wilden Ideen und manche machen einfach beides. Die offensichtlich äußerst brillante Lydia Cambron, ihres Zeichens Industrial Designer, nahm beides und hat einen Film gedreht, der die Einsamkeit in ihrer Isolation auf so eine Weise zeigt, wie es vorher wohl nur “2001: A Space Odyssey” tat. Am Ende sahen sich beide Szenen sogar so ähnlich, dass sie sie in ein Video tat – Zufälle gibt’s, man glaubt es manchmal gar nicht.

2020: an isolation odyssey is a reenactment of the iconic finale of 2001: A Space Odyssey (Stanley Kubrick, 1968). Restaged in the context of home quarantine, the journey through time adapts to the mundane dramas of self-isolation–poking fun at the navel-gazing saga of life alone and indoors.

Ja okay, vielleicht war das doch Absicht. Auf jeden Fall hat sie alles unglaublich genau getroffen – die Einstellungen, das Timing, es ist großartig und hört auch mit dem Abspann noch nicht auf. (via)
